We both come from very christian backgrounds and "it's just not ok". However, we have taken it slow and not pushed anything on our parents. Mine have been over to our house twice for dinner. And just today we received an invitation to her parent's house for tonight, for BOTH of us! We have strict instructions to behave as "friends, friends, friends", but still, this seems like such huge progress. I know we don't know each other, but I thought my story might bring some hope. Hang in there! If nothing else, I tell myself over and over, even if things never improve with our families, I wouldn't trade my girl for the world, I can't expect everything to be perfect, right? ;)Unknownhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05221483501692317461noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3388040561961620715.post-57713805898464957042009-03-30T10:50:00.000-07:002009-03-30T10:50:00.000-07:00Dawn told me about her sister's situation too. And she shouldn't. But she shouldn't have to engage in bible quote wars either.

It has always seemed that the brightest stars shining with love are the ones most visible. You two just keep loving each other, and the life, joy, and happy children that flow out of that will be proof (I hate to use that word) if anyone needs it.Laura Leehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09122306686225813208noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3388040561961620715.post-61035803363965695442009-03-29T07:39:00.000-07:002009-03-29T07:39:00.000-07:00selecting which grandchildren are his? this is jus...selecting which grandchildren are his? this is just too sad. isn't there something written about unconditional love?

my Mother wouldn't allow me to bring R to my niece's wedding so I know how this feels. i told her if R couldn't go neither would i, so i missed the wedding.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
